Healthy training is smart training and aims to minimize injury and prevent burnout. The demands on gymnasts’ bodies are extensive, and if coaches do not understand how to structure training in a safe and effective way, athletes will put undue stress on their bodies. This stress will then lead to injuries and, ultimately, burnout from the sport.
This section offers resources on how to implement a safe and effective training program, allowing your gymnasts to reach their fullest potential while preserving their health and well-being. You will learn how to periodize, or cycle, training to allow gymnasts to peak when they need to and rest and recover, as well. Several other key areas of healthy training include general injury prevention, appropriate conditioning, and creating a healthcare support team. These are just a few of the areas available in this section.
If you are looking for peak performance AND building healthy athletes, you are in the right place!!
