Traci Sommer Stanard is the creator and owner of Aspire Performance, the wellness consulting agency for both professional and student athletes, coaches, and parents. Traci specializes in personal development in sport; helping athletes/parents master the intense pressures of training, as well as guiding coaches to implement the most current mindful teaching strategies. She is skilled in mindset training, interval training/tapering, sport ecology and injury prevention. Traci has written articles for both Mind Body Green and the Huffington Post. She lives northern New Jersey, with her husband and two boys.

Originally as an athlete, Traci was involved in several sports, but at the age of 11 she committed to gymnastics. Traci became an international gymnast and competitor in the 1992 Olympic trials, then finished her career as an All-American for the University of Utah. Upon graduating with a degree in psychology, she took up running and began her Masters in the psycho-social aspect of sport. She spent three years in research, working with children who were victims of severe abuse and neglect. She pressed the hospital staff to use tactics of sport psychology as therapy, instead of intense forms of medication. This idea and type of work, motivated her to launch her own consulting agency in 2005. Along with her MS, she has earned certifications in social service work (SSW), wellness, and personal training (ISSA & NSCA) and most recently Mental Health First Aid, all of which help maintain cutting edge strategies for her clients.

As a consultant she uses the basis of wellness health principals, infused with the top mindset strategies to teach athletes to focus during the most intense times of practice and performance. She truly believes that with a strong foundation of communication, education, and persistence any athlete, parent, or coach, can manifest a successful career.
